Action for Stronger CSO Voice: First Round of Grants Recipients

Public Affairs Officer Jeff Adler joined representatives from the Fund for Active Citizenship on November 27 to announce the first round of recipients for the project “Action for a Stronger CSO Voice.”  The U.S. Embassy in Podgorica awarded $175,000 to the Fund for Active Citizenship earlier this year to provide smaller grants supporting civil society organizations in Montenegro.

Congratulations to these recipients, including: CGO; Udruženje roditelja za djecu sa poteškoćama u razvoju “Zračak nade”; Regionalna razvojna agencija za Bjelasicu, Komove i Prokletije; Centar za ženska prava; Unija mladih preduzetnika; and Omladinski kulturni centar.

Under the terms of this cooperative agreement, the Fund for Active Citizenship will implement another sub-granting program with the goal of strengthening the role of civil society organizations in democratic processes in Montenegro.
