Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke traveled to Pljevlja December 6 – 7, 2019.
She met with Mayor Igor Golubović, and discussed areas of cooperation between the U.S. and the Pljevlja Municipality..

During her visit, Ambassador met with students from Tanasije Pejatović Gimnazija to talk about her diplomatic career and field their questions on various topics.
The Ambassador continued her visit by visiting the NGO Zračak nade (Ray of Hope), which received U.S. Embassy support through a cooperative agreement with the Fund for Active Citizenship designed to strengthen civil society.
During the ongoing 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, the Ambassador visited the NGO Bona Fide to learn about its work to help women and children victims of violence

On the second day of her visit, Ambassador Reinke opened the Regional Girls’ Soccer Tournament in Pljevlja, which was supported through the U.S. Embassy’s Democracy Commission Grant program. The Embassy is pleased to continue to partner with the Breznica Soccer Club to promote tolerance and civil engagement.
