On June 1, Ambassador Uyehara spoke at a press conference to announce the ninth annual Regional Euro-Atlantic (REACT) Camp, which is to be held on September 5-10 at Ivanova Korita, Cetinje. Montenegro’s State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense Bojan Sarkic and National Coordinator for NATO Vesko Garcevic joined the Ambassador and the organizers from the NGO Alpha Center at this event. “This camp offers youth an opportunity to hear the facts and to engage in discussion and debate – not only with people who think the same way – but also those who may have a different, and perhaps just as well-founded, perspective. It also provides a chance for youth to talk openly with government officials, public figures, and other decision-makers from Montenegro and abroad,” Ambassador Uyehara said. The organizers expect around 100 students, NGO representatives, media, and government officials from more than 20 countries to participate at the camp this year.
