Ambassador Uyehara hosted Iftar dinner

On June 1, U.S. Ambassador Margaret Anne Uyehara hosted an Iftar dinner for more than 80 people from different ethnic and religious backgrounds in celebration of the Islamic holy month Ramadan at the Madressa (Islamic high School) in Tuzi.

The Ambassador stressed that the message of love, peace and forgiveness taught by both Jesus and Mohammed, can serve as a unifying force in a troubled world.  The month of Ramadan is about introspection, humility, and charity, she noted.

This is the thirteenth Iftar dinner organized by the U.S. Mission in Montenegro.
