Ambassador Uyehara Visits Clinical Center of Montenegro and the Institute for Public Health to Mark Donation of Medical Equipment

On February 10 2016, Ambassador Uyehara participated in the donation of two electric surgical knives manufactured by the U.S. company ConMed to the Clinical Center of Montenegro. The Director of the Clinical Center Ranko Lazovic, who received the Ambassador, was very appreciative of this much needed donation. The Ambassador also met with the Director of the Institute for Public Health, Boban Mugosa and discussed with him cooperation between his institution and Center for Disease Control and Prevention from Atlanta. Ambassador Uyehara visited the ongoing training session for the Institute’s staff which will use the U.S. manufactured molecular diagnostic equipment in cancer screening. Ambassador Uyehara commended contributions from ConMed, Abbott Laboratories, and Osmi Red, their local distributor, for taking an active role in supporting Montenegro’s health sector and in continuing the tradition of corporate social responsibility.
