Celebrating Women’s History Month: Examining the Life of Olga Lloyd Wright

On March 28, 2023, in honor of Women’s History Month, Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke gave opening remarks at an event at the American Corner in Podgorica. Associate Professor in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Montenegro Slavica Stamatovic Vukcevic, and an alumna the State Department’s Junior Faculty Development Program, led the event, which explored the unique life of Olga Lloyd Wright. Olga Ivanova Lazović was a Montenegrin-American who led a interesting life that took her across the world and ultimately to the United States, where she ended up heading the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. She was the graddaughter of the famous Montenegrin Marko Miljanov and the wife of famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
