House Intelligence Committee Chairman, and member of the House Ways and Means Committee, Devin Nunes visited Montenegro April 18 – 20, 2017.
Congressman Nunes met with the Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Internal and Foreign Policy Zoran Pazin, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Srdjan Darmanovic, Defense Minister Predrag Boskovic and Parliament Speaker Ivan Brajovic.
Congressman Nunes praised the remarkable progress made in reforms by the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Montenegro, noting that Montenegro rightly deserves to become the 29th member of NATO. Nunes stressed that the United States will continue to actively support the modernization of Montenegro’s defense systems and underscored the strategic partnership between the United States and Montenegro as an example of strong and comprehensive bilateral cooperation.
Congressman Nunes encouraged Montenegro’s continued efforts towards strengthening institutions, further democratization and economic development.
