DCM Aliu Opens Access Summer Camp

Fifty students from Niksic and Podgorica who participate in the Access English language program came together at Ivanova korita for their joint summer camp! Deputy Chief of Mission B. Bix Aliu welcomed the students to the camp and shared with them what the American Dream means to him.

The Access Microscholarship Program is a two-year, intensive, afterschool English language learning program for talented students sponsored by the Department of State. Fifty students from Niksic and Podgorica, Tuzi and Golubovci were selected for the program based on the program requirements. Over two years they are working to improve their English Language skills and gaining an appreciation for U.S. culture and democratic values. The goal of the program is to empower youth, support diversity and promote cultural exchange.
