The Foreign Student Program, a non-degree research program, brings more than 1,800 foreign students from 144 countries to U.S. universities each year. Foreign students apply for Fulbright grants through the U.S. Embassy in their home countries. Fulbrighters are chosen for their leadership potential, with the opportunity to observe each other’s’ political, economic and cultural institutions, exchange ideas, and embark on joint ventures of importance to the general welfare of the world’s inhabitants.
