U.S. Embassy Podgorica hosted the 2019 EducationUSA Southeastern Europe Recruiting Tour in Podgorica on April 8, 2019. Despite rainy weather, more than 400 Montenegrin high school and university students came to the fair to meet with representatives from 14 U.S. universities. Through their discussions, students learned about undergraduate and postgraduate opportunities at a wide range of U.S. colleges and universities.
Ambassador Reinke joined the event to speak with students and university representatives. In her interview with local media, the Ambassador encouraged students to take advantage of the EducationUSA Center at the American Corner in Podgorica, which provides free advising to students interested in U.S. study. “Events like this fair give Montenegrin students the chance to speak directly with U.S. college recruiters,” Ambassador Reinke said. “It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the wealth of educational opportunities available in the United States.”
Thrilled to see so many Montenegrin students interested in U.S. higher education! More than 100 #MNE students are studying now in the #USA. I hope many more scholars will follow in their footsteps. Learn more @ our #EdUSA Center @ACPodgorica #EduUSFairMNE #USPartnerMNE pic.twitter.com/rbh6sd0RvM
