The United States Embassy in Podgorica, through its Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) Program, organized training on handheld GPS units donated by the EXBS program. A total of 27 Montenegrin and Albanian Border Police Officers took part in two training sessions from 7-8 and 9-10 September. This course, held by two former US Border Patrol officers, subject matter experts, was designed primarily for front-line green Border Police officers who take part in the joint Montenegro-Albania patrols.  Mr. Zoran Lasica, Head of the Group for Electronic Surveillance at Montenegrin Border Police and a Police Trainer, coordinated the practical exercise.
