The U.S. Embassy hosted a group of young Montenegrins who submitted winning essays in Alfa Center’s national essay competition on the Euro-Atlantic integration process and challenges.
It’s inspiring to talk to talented Montenegrin youth essay writers about our shared values as #NATO members. Hvala @alfacentarnk na inicijativi. It’s important to discuss relevant issues and ask the hard questions. #WeareNATO #REACT2019 pic.twitter.com/m5susJMiyi

The competition is a follow-up activity to the twelfth annual Regional Euro-Atlantic (REACT) Camp which took place September 3-8 2019 in Žabljak. This year’s camp, which gathered about 70 youth and key speakers from Montenegro and the region to discuss Euro-Atlantic integration, was supported through the Embassy’s Democracy Commission Small Grants funds.
The best essay writers had an opportunity to talk to Ambassador Reinke and American diplomats who gave an overview of the work Embassy does on supporting Montenegro on its Euro-Atlantic integration path.
