On October 25-26, 2021, the Maine-Montenegro State Partnership Program recently hosted three members of the Montenegrin Digital Den in Maine, introducing the team to IT sector leaders, entrepreneurs, and academics. In partnership with the U.S. Embassy, Digital Den established the Montenegrin Tech and Startup Bridge (MTSB), the first pipeline of its kind to bring Montenegrin startups to the United States.
MTSB seeks to create connections between the growing Montenegrin startup environment and the established startup communities in three U.S. locations: Phoenix, Arizona, Denver, Colorado, and Portland/Bangor, Maine. MTSB showcases top Montenegrin tech and startup talent to venture capital firms and angel investor networks, enabling U.S. companies to hear their pitches and possibly invest and/or mentor these top tech innovators from the Western Balkans.
The State Partnership Program is excited to see the success of our 15 year-long military partnership expand to include the civilian sector as we work together to advance mutual prosperity.
