On June 15, Microsoft and Government of Montenegro signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement. The Agreement with Microsoft represents a continuation of the mutually beneficial working relationship between the parties established in 2005. This is the third such three year strategic partnership, in which Microsoft will provide data servers and more than 1000 software licenses to the government on an exclusive basis. The company will realize 3.9 million euros over the life of the contract. Ambassador Uyehara in her remarks after the formal signing ceremony underlined that the agreement demonstrates the government’s dedication to developing and strengthening its information society at a time when risks are growing in cyberspace.
