We hosted young Montenegrin entrepreneurs tonight for a special event focused on supporting this important community.
It goes without saying that entrepreneurs are the foundation and driving force of any economy – both in the United States and here in Montenegro. Entrepreneurs have the flexibility to identify new opportunities and find a niche that meets a market need. They create jobs, solve problems, and fill gaps where larger corporations cannot.
The U.S. Embassy actively supports entrepreneurs and each year seeks entrepreneurs to participate in a fully funded exchange program to the United States.
We also work closely with the American Chamber of Commerce, which established its own internship program several years ago. Montenegrin college students who participate in this program have the opportunity to gain real-world experience by working with globally recognized companies that operate here in Montenegro. Our team at the Embassy is dedicated to strengthening the commercial relationship between American and Montenegrin companies, and we’re excited to work with partners like the entrepreneurs who joined us tonight.
