The United States Embassy in Podgorica, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Montenegro initiated today a three-day training on communications and public relations for a group of judges, prosecutors and police officers.

U.S. Ambassador Margaret Ann Uyehara, along with the Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro Dan Redford, President of the Supreme Court Vesna Medenica, Supreme State Prosecutor Ivica Stankovic and Director-General of the Directorate for Security Protection Affairs and Supervision within the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro Milos Vukcevic opened the seminar.

The aim of the training is to assist in the establishment of Press and Public Information Offices in Judicial, Prosecutorial and Police Institutions. Through a combination of lectures and workshops, participants will learn more about the role and importance of public relations, and will hear from experts on personal data protection and free access to information. They will also have the opportunity to exchange opinions and best practices in the area of communications and public information.
