Over 500 students and parents visited the U.S. College Fair organized by the EducationUSA Advising Center Podgorica, in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica on April 8. Representatives from thirteen U.S. universities shared information about their undergraduate and postgraduate programs and talked about possibilities for and advantages of studying in the United States.

Ambassador Uyehara promotes the Fair

At the fair, Ambassador Uyehara expressed delight with the number of students from Montenegro interested in studying in the United States and hope that the number will be even bigger in the future.

We owe gratitude to EducationUSA representatives, all 13 represented U.S. colleges, our Consular colleagues who spoke about student visas and all the wonderful volunteers who helped make the event a success!

This U.S. College Fair is part of a wider collaborative project between the U.S. Embassy and Education USA Network supported by the Department of State. The goal of the project is to promote higher education opportunities in the United States for international students. This is the third Southeastern Europe Recruiting Tour organized by the EducationUSA Network in the region, but the first one to include Montenegro.
