U.S. College Fair Hosted by U.S. Embassy and EducationUSA Advising Center a Success!

March 30, 2015

On March 30, the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica, in cooperation with the newly-opened EducationUSA Advising Center at American Corner Podgorica, organized a U.S. College Fair at the Cultural Center “Budo Tomović.” The fair gathered hundreds of Montenegrin students who came to talk to over 40 volunteers, including U.S. Embassy diplomats and other Montenegrin and American alumni of U.S. universities who shared their experience from about 50 universities across the United States. EducationUSA advisers at the fair also addressed general application procedures, financial aid possibilities, and other topics.  Events continued on March 31 with presentations by EducationUSA advisers and representatives of the U.S. Embassy’s Consular Section at American Corner Podgorica’s EducationUSA Center.

This program is part of a wider collaborative project between the U.S. Embassy, the Education USA Advising Center at the American Corner Podgorica, and the Belgrade-based International Advising Center to provide opportunities for Montenegrin students to find out more about studying at U.S. colleges and universities.

The Embassy would like to thank the numerous volunteers, partners, and students who visited the fair.   Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
