U.S. Embassy and EducationUSA Advising Center Host U.S. College Fair (2015/3/27)

The Embassy of the United States of America in Podgorica, in cooperation with the newly-opened EducationUSA Advising Center at American Corner Podgorica, will organize a U.S. College Fair at the Cultural Center “Budo Tomović” on Monday, March 30, 18:00-20:00.

The fair will be open to high school and university students, as well as their parents and others interested in learning more about colleges and universities in the United States.  U.S. Embassy diplomats and other Montenegrin and American alumni of U.S. universities will answer questions about student life in the United States and share promotional materials from the universities they attended.  EducationUSA advisers will also be at the fair to address general application procedures, financial aid possibilities, and other topics.  In addition, EducationUSA advisers will hold educational advising sessions on undergraduate and graduate studies at American Corner Podgorica the following day, March 31, at which time representatives from the U.S. Embassy’s Consular Section will also give a presentation on student visas.

This program is part of a wider collaborative project between the U.S. Embassy, the Education USA Advising Center at the American Corner Podgorica, and the Belgrade-based International Advising Center to provide opportunities for Montenegrin students to find out more about studying at U.S. colleges and universities.

Journalists interested in covering the fair should be at the American Corner Podgorica no later than 18:15 on Monday, March 30.  Public Affairs Officer Sunshine Ison and Educational USA advisers from Podgorica and Belgrade will be available for statements.
