Ambassador Uyehara and PM Djukanovic joint cake cut
On July 2, 2015, U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro Margaret Ann Uyehara hosted a reception to celebrate the 239th anniversary of the Independence of the United States.
Remarks made by Ambassador Uyehara reiterated the message of friendship and partnership between the two countries. “As Montenegro prepares to enter its tenth year as a newly independent nation, the American people are honored to stand by you as you come face to face with many of the same complicated issues with which we have grappled with for over 200 years,” the Ambassador said.
