The U.S. Embassy, in cooperation with the Center for Training in The Judiciary and State Prosecution, recently organized a training on corruptive criminal offenses for Montenegrin judges and prosecutors. A number of local, regional, and international trainers discussed various aspects of effective anti-corruption legislation, as well as challenges they faced through several case studies. Training participants gained insight into how to best craft effective legislation and enhance cooperation with law enforcement. The trainers highlighted that collective action across institutions and including all stakeholders is necessary to root out corruption.
