U.S. Military Donates Medical Equipment to the Children’s Hospital

U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro Margaret A. Uyehara delivered a donation of specialized medical equipment to the Institute for Children’s Diseases of the Clinical Center of Montenegro in Podgorica.

The U.S. European Command (EUCOM), through the U.S. Embassy’s Office for Defense Cooperation has provided $15,000 for an OPTI microscope and audiometer donated for the Children’s Hospital. The Defense Attaché Office at the U.S. Embassy coordinates the EUCOM humanitarian assistance activities in Montenegro.

The Clinical Center of Montenegro was represented by the director of the Institute for Children’s Diseases (known as Children’s Hospital) Dr. Sonja Milasinovic and Dr. Ognjen Jovicevic.

The United States firmly believes that investing in infrastructure and health facilities helps create a stable environment where democracy and citizens can flourish.
