Update: Embassy Consular Section Operations

In light of the global health pandemic, the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica is currently closed for routine visa services, which includes B1/B2 business and tourist visas, F1, M1, and J1 student and exchange visas. No appointments for routine visa services are being scheduled at this time. We will resume visa services as soon as possible, but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. Please follow https://me.usembassy.gov/visas/ for updates.

Please also note that on June 22, President Donald Trump extended Proclamation 10014 from April 22, suspending the entry of certain additional foreign nationals to the United States through December 31, 2020. Under the Proclamation, the Department of State will not issue certain categories of nonimmigrant visas, including H-1B, H-2B, L visas, and their family members. Certain J1 visas will also not be issued, including intern, trainee, teacher, camp counselor, au pair, or summer work travel program. This proclamation does not apply to persons who already hold a U.S. visa issued prior to June 24, 2020.
