Visa Applicants to Pay MRV Visa Fees at the U.S. Embassy as of February 1, 2016

In accordance with U.S. Department of State policy and regulations, starting Monday, February 1, 2016, all Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) applicants at the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica will be required to pay the machine-readable visa (MRV) fee on the day of their interview at the Embassy.  The MRV fee (USD 160) can be paid in Euros only, and in cash only (EUR 144 at the State Department’ exchange rate as of April 18, 2016).

  1. Credit cards cannot be accepted.  The Embassy strongly encourages applicants to bring the exact amount of the MRV fee.  For a list of NIV fees please refer to our Non-Immigrant Visas webpage.

Please note that valid MRV fee receipts from NLB Montenegro bank will still be accepted for up to one year after the issuance date.
